Chandler Charles Tedholm

“For the People, For a Change!”

A true activist and a man of wit, compassion, and layers of character and experience, Chandler coined this slogan in his independent bid for the U.S. House of Representatives.  It epitomized his beliefs in equal human rights and compassionate social and legal justice programs.  It also spoke to his uncanny ability to genuinely connect with people.

Chandler was a true book enthusiast, as both reader and author.  He became a respected  scholar of  Civil War and military history, and offered readers the fruits of his twin passions for history and storytelling in his novel, Irrepressible Conflict.

Chandler's life was always interwoven with travel.  It began in childhood as part of a naval family and continued as he traveled the country as a young man after completing school at Yale. His career took him around the world, but his greatest path led him to Carolyn and the beautiful family they built together.

His hearty laugh and musical renditions will always bring fond memories to family, friends and colleagues who were fortunate to have known him.
