Dennis Rock

A quiet day on the water, fishing pole in hand

A warm summer night, classic rock on the radio

The image of Gandalf astride Shadowfax, riding to glory

These are the events that will recreate the joy and memories Dennis made with his family and friends throughout life.

A loving father, faithful brother and friend, and consummately devoted grandfather, Dennis will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged - and to help protect you from future solicitations - the Rock Family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the following

VFW Foundation

Tracing its roots back to 1899, the VFW was organized by veterans of the Spanish-American War (1898) and the Philippine Insurrection (1899-1902) who founded local organizations to secure rights and benefits for their service, particularly medical care and pension contributions. Today, the VFW Foundation continues to financially assist veterans by filling in governmental assistance gaps for troops abroad, military families back in the U.S. and America’s often-forgotten veterans. These programs, including - VFW Post grants, veteran student scholarships, counsel and assistance for disability claims and funds for troops and families in need of housing, medical care or basic life costs - are provided at no cost to the recipients and require no Veterans of Foreign Wars affiliation.

Women’s Humane Society of Bensalem

The Women’s Humane Society was founded on April 14, 1869 by Caroline Earle White who created the First Animal Shelter and First Animal Adoptions Program in the country. During its first year, it petitioned the Mayor of Philadelphia and took over operation of the City’s dog pound. The Society ran it as an animal shelter and created the concept of re-homing animals thereby establishing the Nation’s first animal shelter and formal adoptions program.

The Women’s Humane Society is dedicated to the humane and compassionate treatment of animals. As America’s First Animal Shelter it is committed to protecting the interests of animals and offering a continuum of care to ensure that all animals are treated humanely with kindness and respect.

Dennis cared deeply about animals, as his faithful feline companion, Shadowfax, can attest.
