Franklin Robert Sutton
A highly decorated WWII veteran, Franklin was devoted to protecting and honoring the ideals of this country. His continued service to his community ~ soup kitchens, Well Kind, activities at church and the YMCA ~
will be missed by all those who were fortunate to have known him.
To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged - and to help protect you from future solicitations - the Sutton Family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the
Visiting Nurse association of Central New Jersey
Recognizing a need to improve prison conditions and achieve a more humane approach to public assistance, the VNA of Central New Jersey started as a grassroots organization in 1912. By the 1930's, a training program for student nurses was developed as well as an expansion of services for handicapped children. It was during the 1950's that the organization began field training to graduate nursing students from Rutgers and Columbia Universities and since then it has evolved to fulfill its mission of delivering home health services to residents who want to return home safely following hospitalization or need a helping hand to remain in the comfort of home due to an illness, disability or advanced age.
