John Bruce Cowper, JR.
From his willingness to voluntarily serve his country to his industriousness in becoming educated & simultaneously supporting his family ~
From his devotion to his church & faith to his honesty with his employer in wanting to accept another job ~
Bruce did everything under a high moral code & was the epitome of integrity.
The lessons he passed on to his family grew from the high standard by which he lived his life, and this legacy will be carried on for generations to come.
To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged - and to help protect you from future solicitations - the Cowper Family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the
BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA PATRIOTS' PATH COUNCIL
The Patriots’ Path Council, Boy Scouts of America is dedicated to preparing young people to make ethical choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of good character, citizenship and personal fitness. Through its multiple program and activity offerings, the Patriots’ Path Council’s core objective is to build strong personal values, family values and character in young people by providing program activities that teach, support and encourage such values. The organization serves more than 19,000 youth members and 6,000 leaders each year in the counties of Morris, Somerset, Sussex, Union and parts of Middlesex, New Jersey.
Passionate about the mission of the Cub & Boys Scouts, Bruce took his involvement to a higher level with the organization. Serving not only when his boys were in the program, he went on to train other parents as scout leaders, helped with maintenance and construction for the Patriots' Path Council and was awarded the Silver Beaver Award for being a registered Scouter of exceptional character who provided distinguished service within the council. A contribution in his name would be a living tribute to his memory and the continued mission of the Patriots' Path Council.
