Michael O'Brien

Michael lived his life to the fullest ~ traveling to Europe and his favorite spots in Maine, enjoying the great outdoors and making time for his beloved nephews.  He was a beautiful soul ~ caring, generous and full of good humor.

He was taken too soon, but his legacy of love, laughter and compassion will live on in those he loved and who loved him unequivocally in return.

To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged - and to help protect you from future solicitations - the O'Brien Family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the

Susan G. Komen foundation

In 1980, Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became the Susan G. Komen®organization and the beginning of a global movement. What was started with $200 and a shoebox full of potential donor names has now grown into the world’s largest nonprofit source of funding for the fight against breast cancer. To date, they’ve invested more than $2.6 billion in groundbreaking research, community health outreach, advocacy and programs in more than 60 countries. Their efforts helped reduce death rates from breast cancer by 37 percent between 1990-2013 and they won’t stop until their promise is fulfilled.

With respect to the wishes of the O'Brien Family, memorial donations made in Michael's name would also be in honor of his mother, who passed away too soon from this dreaded disease.
