Mildred Ridner

From leaving school at a young age to help run the family business, to raising her children and becoming Grandma, Great-Gram and the Matriarch of the Ridner Family, Mildred shared 97 ½ years of love, laughter and wonderful experiences with her family and friends.  A product of the greatest generation, Mildred knew the value of hard work and a dollar and these lessons, along with many additional pearls of wisdom, will keep her memory alive within all who were fortunate to have been part of her life.

To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged - and to help protect you from future solicitations - the Ridner Family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

In 1965, Mildred lost her beloved daughter Barbara to juvenile diabetes.  While much progress has been made to cure, prevent and treat this disease, the work is ongoing.  A donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be a lasting tribute to both Mildred and Barbara.

JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Their strength lies in their exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D.  JDRF works every day to change the reality of this disease for millions of people—and to prevent anyone else from ever knowing it—by funding research, advocating for government support of research and new therapies, ensuring new therapies come to market and connecting and engaging the T1D community.
