Noreen Horsman

It is small wonder that Noreen's most memorable play production was Peter Pan, as her life was the perfect balance of the two leads.

As Wendy was innately kind and a caregiver by nature, so too was Noreen.  She helped steward her kindergarten classes to a lifetime of learning and her dedication to those in need of care was imbued with a true sense of compassion.

Peter was all about adventure and fun and Noreen brought that to life as well. She animated the classroom through her plays and, with her wit, inspired laughter at family gatherings. And with the top down on the convertible, Auntie Noreen took her nieces and nephews on adventures that created those quintessential childhood memories that last a lifetime.

She will be dearly missed and her beautiful smile, warm hospitality and loving grace will live on in those who were truly blessed to have been a part of her journey.

The Missionary Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception are an international community, founded in 1873 by Elizabeth Hayes (Mother Mary Ignatius of Jesus). Born on the Island of Guernsey, Channel Islands, she was an Anglican convert to Catholicism and began the first mission in Belle Prairie, Minnesota, USA. Now involved with ministries around the world, the organization continues its mission to identify with the victim, the poor and the marginalized, especially women and children, in seeking a peace built on justice; all while reverencing creation, acknowledging the right of all God’s creatures to enjoy its blessings.
