Robert Amses

"Each new discovery furnishes a step which leads on to the complete truth."

Sherlock Holmes, The Adventure of the Engineer's Thumb

As a man with a thirst for knowledge and a love of Holmes, Bob lived a life of discovery.  He committed himself fully to his church, teaching and leading through ministry and giving praise through the power of song.

A proud Navy veteran of World War II, Bob's sense of civic duty carried on after his service.  He was active with many local civic issues and volunteered his time at Cape Regional Medical Center.  He connected with his community through his involvement with the Seven Mile Island Chorus, the American Legion, the Middle Township Seniors Club, and the National Society of Accountants Morris County chapter.

Known for his impromptu poetry to entertain those around him, Bob shared his personal interests with others and enjoyed being physically and mentally active through sailing, painting, gardening, rollerblading and running.

Bob's greatest joy came from the time spent with his family.  A loving and devoted father and husband, he will be dearly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
