Bill's life was shaped by his desire to help, from dedicating himself to his country through service to his ingenuity and hard work in patenting new ideas.  A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Bill's legacy will live on in those he loved and who loved him equally in return.

To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged - and to help protect you from future solicitations - the Blatherwick Family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the following

Mount Carmel Guild

From the beginning, the vision of Mount Carmel Guild has been “the cure of poverty – head, heart, and spirit.”  Since that time, the Guild has served poor and needy people of Mercer County, holding true to its original mission, and, as the current logo depicts, continues to provide “a helping hand” to ailing seniors and impoverished individuals and families.

Father Flanagan Boy's Town

Born in Ireland, Father Edward J. Flanagan arrived in the United States in 1904.  He became a social reformer and a true visionary for changing how America cared for its children and families.  In 1917 he opened Father Flanagan’s Boys’ Home, which later became Boys Town, and championed the causes of children across the country.  Boys Town believes today, as their founder did 100 years ago, that every child deserves a future, every family deserves to stay together and every community deserves to thrive. And they believe that all of these things should be achievable without regard to race, religion or background.
