Bill's ninety-one years saw him play many roles - devoted husband, father and grandfather - making memories filled with love, laughter and generosity while happily sharing his time with family and friends.
He believed in serving his country and his community - a proud, yet humble highly decorated Army veteran of WWII, Bill continued in service to his fellow citizens - be it as local handyman, Sunday usher, coupon collector for Coups for Troops or as a one-man farmer's market, sharing and giving his vegetables to all who came by.
A gentleman and gentle man, his thoughtful and selfless character will always be remembered and cherished by those blessed to have known him.
To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged - and to help protect you from future solicitations - the Johnson Family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the
Holy Redeemer Healthcare Hospice
The Johnson Family would like to thank the entire staff and nurses for the exceptional care, kindness, support and compassion they provided Bill while he was under their care, with particular and special thanks to therapist Pat Clark. A memorial contribution to the Holy Redeemer Healthcare Hospice would be both a living tribute to Bill's memory and help other families receive the care they deserve when they need it most.
Veteran charity of Choice
You may also remember Bill in your own special way with a memorial donation to a local veteran's organization of your choice. Supporting veterans would be a living tribute to Bill's memory and the dedication he showed to his country.
Please contact us if you would like any help in choosing an organization.
