Carey Martin
Le 6 Décembre 2019, Carey Houston Martin nous a quittés pour rejoindre les anges.
Il a toujours su compenser sa petite taille par une largeur d’esprit exceptionnelle et un cœur immense. Sa joie de vivre était hors-norme, comme en témoignait son perpétuel sourire et son rire à nul autre pareil.
Il était ami avec tout le monde, aimait participer aux activités sociales, était poli, toujours prêt à aider, adorait danser et avait une passion toute particulière pour la nature.
Il avait notamment une fascination pour les insectes et araignées, et possédait quantité de livres sur le sujet.
Il aimait également infiniment les oiseaux, disposait des mangeoires pour eux dans son jardin et ne manquait jamais une occasion d’aller les admirer dans les animaleries.
Carey a désormais ses propres ailes, il peut voler parmi ses oiseaux chéris et veiller sur nous depuis le ciel.

Carey souffrait d’un handicap mental. Durant sa petite enfance, sa famille a eu la chance de recevoir le soutien de L’institut Kennedy Krieger. Carey y apassé quatre mois, et ses parents et lui y ont appris à gérer son handicap.
Ainsi, Carey a pu retourner dans sa maison, et plus tard s’épanouir dans une résidence spécialisée.
Cet hôpital se situe à Baltimore, dans le Maryland. Il est internationalement réputé pour ses soins et ses programmes d’éducation et de recherche pour les enfants souffrant de la colonne vertébrale, de handicaps intellectuels et de troubles du cerveau.
