Harold J. Rourke
Hal lived a storybook life ~ tailgates, ski slopes, trips down the shore and annual family adventures of memorable travel ~ and his infamous love-hate relationship with golf will be remembered every time his Cranbury buddies tee up. He brought a sense of dedication and a free spirit to life, and his legacy will live on through stories shared by the family and friends he held dear.
To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged - and to help protect you from future solicitations - the Rourke Family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the
Macular Degeneration Research
Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is an irreversible destruction of the central area of the retina, called the macula. The retina is the light sensitive layer of tissue that lines the back of the eye and transmits visual information via the optic nerve to the brain. Macular degeneration leads to loss of the sharp, fine-detail, “straight-ahead” vision required for reading, driving, recognizing faces, and seeing the world in color, for example. Since 1999, Macular Degeneration Research (MDR) through the BrightFocus Foundation has awarded more than $26 million to support research into the causes and potential prevention strategies and treatments of macular degeneration disease. MDR is currently supporting 43 biomedical researcher projects.
