Eleanor Bitondo

May the early morning birdsong, the warmth of the setting sun and a delicious bowl of summer ice cream bring back the wonderful memories Eleanor made lovingly with family, friends and her home of the Denville community.

To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged, Eleanor’s family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the following

Vision Loss Alliance of New Jersey

Vision Loss Alliance of New Jersey traces its origins to 1943, when a group of individuals met in a Newark basement to address societal bias against people who, like themselves, were blind or had profound vision loss. They started the state’s first summer residential camp program in Denville, NJ, offering respite to women who were blind. Under the name NJ Foundation for the Blind, the summer camp expanded its offerings to provide life-skills training to help those with profound vision loss live more independent lives, which has since become the organization's year-round mission.
