With a smile and laugh that lit up every exotic destination she visited, Jacqui’s passion for learning and her desire to share gave an exuberance for life to all those fortunate to have been a part of her world.

She gave generously and graciously, and her kindness will emanate through the hearts and minds of all those she loved and who loved her unequivocally in return.

On Friday, September 27, 2019, Jacqueline Anne Buckley, loving wife and mother of two, passed away at the age of 67.

Jacqui was born on April 16, 1952 in Washington DC to Mildred and Waller Miller. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Towson University in 1974, and received her Masters from University of Maryland in 1981. Jacqui used her degrees to teach elementary school children, and eventually became a reading specialist in 1991 in Montgomery County, Maryland.

On June 25th, 1977, she married Dennis Buckley, and they raised two sons, Trevor and Ryan. Jacqui was an amazing mother, and a great teacher to her elementary school students. She had a passion for life and learning that was evident through her travels. Dennis and Jacqui took every opportunity to travel to exotic places with their sons, closest friends Jeannette Johnson and Raymond Buckley, and all their Brunswick Forest friends. Jacqui took every opportunity during her travels to soak in the history and scenery everywhere she went. Even in her final months she was traveling and sending beautiful pictures to everyone she knew.

Ultimately, Jacqui was a kind and giving person whose smile and laugh could light up the room.

She is survived by her husband Dennis, their sons, Trevor and Ryan, daughters-in-laws Ashley and Natalie, along with several cousins, nieces, nephews and a new granddaughter born on September 30th 2019. A funeral service will be held at a later date, but in lieu of flowers, the family asks that any money you might have spent be sent to Jacqui’s favorite charity, the St. Jude Children's Hospital through the donation button below.
