Pete was perspicacious when it came to tutoring his English students and had an innate perspicuity in detailing the winning ways of the Fighting Irish.

He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all those he loved and those who loved him unequivocally in return.

As an active parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church - St. Anthony's Parish for 49 years, this has been the religious and spiritual community for Pete and the entire Hourihan Family. Pete gave his time freely, serving as Eucharistic Minister, as member of bible study groups and organizing the annual golf outing, His leadership, kindness and generosity of spirit were pillars of the community and he will be forever remembered by those blessed to have known him.

Mercer County Community College Foundation

The MCCC Foundation supports the mission of Mercer County Community College and the community it serves in assisting the college and the advancement of public higher education by broadening the base of community and financial support.

Pete spent the last 12 years working part-time as an English tutor at MCCC where he had the chance to work with many hard working and promising college students, alongside his cherished and dedicated colleagues.
